I removed mine a few years ago, It was put there to support the throttle bodies if you happened to land hard from a jump in a rally stage I think, Because it does f*ck all on a road car apart from get in the f*cking way as far as I can see :doh: :roll: .

Well i had my knock senser changed. And the plank that done it, Put the bloody thing back on.:shock: :doh:

Ive still got mine...............................you never know that high jump may come lol

From what ive seen the majority of people have removed this.

Took mine off about 4 years ago, its sole use now is to prop open the metal door on my lock up ;-)

I think ive left it off on every R ive ever worked on too, once ive explained to the owner how leaving it on adds about 2 hours labour (and a lot of scraped knuckles) to anything that needs changing on the back of the engine they usually agree it should stay off :lol:

took mine of the other week need a good socket set and i raised the engine of one of the mounts to take it out. not a nice job
