    D2 spring change

Hey mate, I thought I had a pair up there... Did I give the spare pair to you with the car? Glad the car's still going well and I'm glad it's getting used. I've driven mine about 6 miles this weekend! Have you done much to it since the engine build? Paul

    D2 spring change

Holy post revival Batman.... I just saw an email in my private email account about my mailbox being full over here. It's now empty. Just to confirm Jim's posts, I went for the 5Kg/mm front and 4Kg/mm rear springs. That's what I ordered when I bought them but, they turned up with 5Kg/mm...

    Intercooler / rad fins

And not to be argumentative with your argument but... Air travels in a straight line and there's no angled deflection panels to direct air through the core on the front of the GTiR. So, the 70% that's blocked will be stopping the air going through that part of the core. The remaining...

    Correct knock sensor?

It is the OE Nissan item but, without the dealer rip off price tag ! Several of us on here have bought them and been using them for a while ! Paul

    braking/handling problem?

I had a similar issue when braking from high speed. That was on old dampers and lowering springs. Since I fitted my coilovers, dive is kept in check and the car behaves as you'd want it to now ! A rear brake upgrade would definitely help with stability too though. Paul

    water wetter

Don't waste your money then mate. Just change your coolant regularly, to prevent sludge build up and make sure the rest of the cooling system is working as it should. I'd expect the Koyo rad would be more than you need anyway ! Paul

    Intercooler / rad fins

If the fins are bent, you're unlikely to be getting any air through that particular area. With 70% of the fins bent, it's likely to be 70% less efficient, if 70% of the surface area is not allowing air through. If they are bent to that degree, the rad/cooler is likely to be old anyway so, the...

    spark plug damage help!

The colour of the plug earth electrode looks fine (from what I can see) but, that gap looks huge too. The insulator colour looks a little odd too ?! And that earth electrode looks bent as well as worn ?! Paul

    water wetter

I have and didn't notice any difference. Of course, I don't have a digital gauge that would show any benefit but, I'm not that sure the stuff works to be honest. You're better off getting a rad that will cope with the power you want to make ! Paul

    water gurgling

Just to add to Robs suggestions... With ther rad cap off, and with the car up to temperature, hold the throttle at around 2500 rpm for a few seconds. This will shift any stubborn air locks. Be very careful though, as the temperature of the coolant rises, the pressure will also build. This...

How do you remove the wheel arch trims ?

    Nice. Thanks chaps ! Paul

    wind noise

They all do it as, they're made by Nissan ! You could try bending the door frames in slightly. Heating up the paint around the area that you're bending slightly, will stop it cracking. Not that I'd expect it to anyway as, you'll not be bending them much. Failing that, fitting wind...

How do you remove the wheel arch trims ?

Thanks Rob. So the trim doesn't have any adhesive that sticks it to the wing ? Paul

How do you remove the wheel arch trims ?

OK chaps, I'm thinking about tidying up the rear wheel arches on the car so, how do you remove the wheel arch trims ? And can they be re-used after removal ? I.e. do you have to destroy them to get them off ? Cheers Paul
