i had the same problem, car isnt running right, knock sensor code is coming up, took out knock sensor and i was getting the right ohm reading and wiring was fine. does this mean it is detecting knocking in the engine? am i talking big money to get it fixed if there is a knock?
Iv heard they are not worth a crap aswel.. I dont see any break on what cable i can see so il test the voltage then replace it and c what happens.. If i do relocate it do i just screw it to another earth on the car and plug in the connector?
ha ok 560,000 ohms.. i was only doing it as a temporary thing but it didnt work anyway. how do i check if the cables are ok? if not how can they be changed??
My r is playing up.. When it heats up it feels very sluggish, no pull what so ever. Im getting fault code 34 from the ecu which is the knock sensor. I took the sensor out and tested the resistance. I got 560 ohms on the multi-meter which indicates its ok. Iv also soldered a 1 ohm resistor to...
I soldered a 1 ohm resistor onto pins 27 and 29 on the ecu and its still doing the same thing and giving fault 34.. Am i doing the right thing or is there something else i can try??
my R has been giving trouble and going by some threads i found it was more than likely the knock sensor. i done a code check and got 34= faulty knock sensor.. after removing the sensor i put it on a multimeter and got a reading of 0.560 M Ohms.. is it possible that the sensor is knackered and...
