uk sunny-pulsar differences

after a bit of help here guys!
i recently purchased a what i thought uk sunny but found that the car was imported in 98:?

it has the destinctive tailgate
uk service and stamped warranty book (with stamps from 98)
uk english owners manual

is there any other known differences or tell tale signs between a uk sunny and pulsar?

Info taken from my cusion- Andrews site

The uk ones should have-

UK style number plate holder
UK style speedo, think up to 150mph
UK Style non leather gear knob
The vin check would have brought up UK anyway not import
Also you can do the previous mot history check which will show history of model
I think they are also meant to have black wing mirrors
Nissan badge on front grill
Non leather steering wheel
Doesn't have the fold in mirrors either
No air con switch/ no air con
Full size wheel in boot not space saver
No umbrella or flare holder

I think the steering wheel, speedo, and temp/ air blower cluster should give it away

Did'nt alway's come with normal size spare wheel,it was an option.

Just check the vin number, if it starts with rnn14 then its an import...

Think boost gauge reads psi and not bar. The vin should be the main one as every other think can be changed

and look for jap writing on sun visors

the UK cars will have a 17 digit VIN starting JN1

The jap cars have the jap style VIN starting Rnn14

the VIN will be stamped on the bulkhead as well as on the VIN plate.

brolley flap didnt come on all imports as i have had 2 imports one late 93 and one 94 no brolley

Yeah - the umbrella holder was only for phase I RA models wasn't it? The second phase just got a plastic cap there instead.

There are many Different models like my last one had +- 09 on the boost gauge rather then the +- 07 like most. But why?

That's a UK boost gauge isn't it? Reading is PSI and not Torr (mmHg).

not sure. but thought they all go +-07 not 09. Not seen another one with +-09 yet.

Well my 94 phase 2 has a solid pillar with no cap

whats an ra model stand for?
ive seen it mentioned before but never knew what it stood for? mines a 91 import with the brolly isnt it just the normal version nothing special?

Ra models are just your normal pulsar, rb models are light weight versions with a close ratio gearbox
